Silentstar stalked through her territory, the tip of her striped tail twitching as she took in the scene. Rarely did she have a chance to escape the camp and go on a hunt, and very rarely indeed was it a morning hunt like this. The sun was only just peeking over the horizon, bathing the land with watery sunlight. There was a cool wind which Silentstar gratefully let ruffle her silver fur. It was nice to be out and free.
She had decided to go on a hunt alone last night, having put her adopted Ashkit to sleep and needing space. Now was the perfect time, when it seemed like it was only Silentstar and the land. Nothing else mattered, nobody else moved. Though perhaps she could deal with some company....

Thunderstrike was hunting too. He kicked up dirt on the thrush that he caught and continued to hunt. His nose sniffed the air to smell, Silentstar. They didn't talk to each other that much. Maybe they could hunt with each other. He fallowed her scent to finally find the silver she-cat. He gave her a small smile and sat down on the green grass. "Hello Silentstar." He said while dipping his head. I wonder if she's. hunting too? Usually leaders didn't go out for a hunt be because they are so busy. Well, he was busy too, since he was the deputy. "So are you hunting?" He asked.

Silentstar whirled around the the sound of a cat, her fur spiked up as she prepared to defend herself. When she realized it was only Thunderstrike, she quickly relaxed her fur and sighed in reservation. "Thunderstrike, it's only you. Why do you always seem to sneak up on me? I must be going deaf." She shook her head and glanced down to the mouse at her paws. Smiling sheepishly, she shrugged. Leader's weren't really supposed to leave camp much in case something happened, but she had felt trapped and needed somewhere to stretch her legs. "Yea, I came out here to hunt. I got a little distracted though."

Thunderstrike smiled at her weakly. "I always thought of myself as a sneaky cat." He mewed. Silentstar wasn't that old, or was she. She was probably a couple moons older than him, but that's all. She was still young in the inside. Thunderstrike looked down at the mouse. "Nice catch, I caught a thrush back there." He said, pointing with his tail towards the direction he buried the thrush. "So... do you want to continue hunting with me?" He asked with a small smile.

Silentstar smiled at the offer. She hadn't actually been expecting it, after all, she thought that Thunderstrike had left the camp for some time alone as well. But then again maybe he hadn't. In any case, truth be told, she was glad of the offer, Silentstar thoroughly enjoyed spending time with other cats, and she didn't know Thunderstrike that well. Maybe now she could get to know him a little better, the thought made her happy and bursting with energy.
Padding forward, the young leader, only eighteen moons, very young to be responsible for a clan, smiled shyly back at her trustworthy deputy. "I'd be happy if you decided to join me hunting Thunderstrike, in fact I'd love you to come."

Thunderstrike smiled and was kind of surprised at Silentstar's words. "Okay then, lady's first." He said offering her to lead the way. Wasn't he such a gentleman, well most of the times. Sometimes he would step out of the box and joke around and act like a kit. But he was usually mature and serious. He took lots of things serious.

Silentstar purred and slipped past him. She made sure to flick his nose with the tip of her tail teasingly as she continued, looking back with a comfortable smile. This would definetely be an adventure, she hadn't been out of camp in so long, much less with anyone. Now Silentstar finally had a chance to stretch out her legs and relax, maybe she could even get Thunderstrike to relax and have a good time himself. He seemed so serious all of the time. Oh, what she wouldn't give to see him romping around like an apprentice, or better yet a kit. "Well, aren't you a gentleman?"

Thunderstrike grinned a little at her. "Anything for you." He mewed. He fallowed the pretty she-cat deeper into the forest. He sniffed the air with his nose, trying to scent the prey. He finally scented a mouse. He crouched down close to the grown. His eyes spotted the mouse. He looked at Silentstar wondering if she wanted to kill it.

Silentstar's ears twitched and she crouched low to avoid being seen. Her mouth watered at the delicious aroma of mouse, but she controlled herself. Looking over at Thunderstrike who was already settled into a perfect hunters crouch, she flicked his flank with her tail gently, inviting him to kill it. She could wait her turn, after all, he had spotted it first.

Thunderstrike smiled at her a little. He looked back at the mouse. He slowly went closer to it. His tail was down and he tried to not make a noise. When he thought he was close enough, he pounced on the mouse. It tried to run away, but he got it. He bite the throat of the mouse and turned back to face Silentstar. A grin appeared on his face. "Think you can do better?" He said in a challenging way.
