She purred and smirked at him, eagerly accepting the challenge. "Oh, I know I can. Just watch and learn, my fine deputy." Still smiling, she stalked past him, making sure to purposfully brush against him as she headed into the bushes. She quickly scented something, not a mouse, a shrew. Rare things, shrews were. Only small, but delicious.
Settling into a natural hunter's crouched, Silentstar slipped forward, her paws not making a sound. Everything seemed quiet around her, a hush fell over the area as she saw a pink nose twitch from under a leaf. The shrew ran, but she was faster. Hooking it with her claws, she killed it with a quick blow then turned to Thunderstrike happily, waving her long tail in triumph. "Well?"

Thunderstrike watched her every movement. "I got to say, you are better than me." He said with a smile. "Maybe you can teach me some of your hunting moves and I can probably teach you some of my fighting moves." He said with a grin. He always thought that he was pretty good at fighting, more like great. But he didn't like bragging.

Silentstar padded over slowly, placing her small paws one after the other carefully as she moved. Gently, she put the dead shrew at his feet then sat down, just in front of Thunderstrike. With a shy, nervous smile, she flicked her ears and nodded in agreement. "Yes, I would very much like that Thunderstrike." Her eyes glittered teasingly and she bopped him on the nose with her paw. "Are you sure you can handle me? I'm going to work you hard."

"Hm... I'll try my best." Thunderstrike mewed to her. "So what are we going to do first?" He asked. He felt like an apprentice again, learning how to hunt. He wasn't the best hunter. Hunting was one of his weaker spots. Well he knew how to hunt, but he wasn't the best at it. This is a perfect time to let Silentstar help him.

Silentstar smiled softly, he was eager to learn, that was good. "First, we need to get your crouch right. From what I saw before, it was almost perfect, so that's good." She crouched down, lenghening out her smooth body and flicked her tail. Still in the hunters crouch, she turned to look at him with gentle blue eyes. "Like this ok? You have to try and keep your weight evenly balanced."

Thunderstrike crouched down next to Silentstar. He did what she said and tried to keep his weight evenly balanced. He think he did it right. His eyes looked at Silentstar. "How about this?" He asked. He stared at her with soft eyes. He kind of lost his balanced and fell. Was it Silentstar who made him uneasy? No, but.... He shook his head. "I think I have to practice." He said with a small giggle.

She laughed softly when she fell. Leaning forward she nudged his stomach with her muzzle. "Yeah, maybe just a little. But you were looking good, before you fell." She couldn't figure out why he fell, Thunderstrike seemed to have had perfect balance before falling, hmmm. Maybe the wind had tipped him. "Come on, try again. I'll help you."

Thunderstrike stood up again and repeated all that he did before. He would just glimpse at Silentstar. "Okay I think I'm good." He said with a smile. He checked his position over and over again. "Yeah, I think I'm good." He said. He kept his balance that time and held it for awhile.

She laughed, he definetely looked a lot better. He seemed more confident in his position as well. Leaning forward, she poked him in the side gently with a paw, trying not to get too caught up in his delicious scent. "You look a lot better. Want to try it out on something?"

"Sure." Thunderstrike said to her. "Uh... how about a leaf?" He asked. He padded towards a greenish yellowish leaf. He crouched down almost touching the ground. He balanced his weight and slowly padded towards it. He tried to not make any noise. He finally pounced on it swiftly. He feared up the leaf into shreds. A small giggle came out of his mouth, he kind of felt like a kit again.
